Taking the In-App Product Tour

The in-app product tour is a guided, click-by-click walkthrough of Loyva’s core workflow: adding a client, creating a folder, sending a document for signature, and viewing the Vault. It takes about five minutes and uses your real workspace, so the actions you complete during the tour are real. The client and document you create stay in your account.

Starting the tour

The tour is available from the Dashboard. The first time you sign in to a new org, it may auto-start; otherwise:

  • Go to the Dashboard from the sidebar.

  • Find the Take the Tour action on the Dashboard or in the onboarding card.

  • Click it. A welcome overlay appears in the center of the screen.

  • Click Next (or Start Tour) to begin.

Tip: use a test client with your own email so the signing step is safe to complete end-to-end.

What the tour covers

The tour walks through about 15 steps grouped into four sections:

1. Adding your first client

  • Highlights Clients in the sidebar.

  • Opens the New Client dialog.

  • Asks you to pick Residential or Commercial.

  • Walks you through the basic client form (name, contact info, email).

2. Organizing with folders

  • Switches to the Folders tab on the new client.

  • Opens the New Folder dialog and prompts you to name it (e.g., Contracts).

3. Sending a document for signature

  • Highlights Send for Signature on the client workspace.

  • Walks through choosing a template or uploading a PDF.

  • Shows the DocuSeal field builder with pre-placed signature fields you can drag.

  • Clicks Send to email the document to the client.

4. Viewing the Vault

  • Highlights the Vault in the sidebar.

  • Shows the vault table with the Authoritative Copy badge.

  • Wraps up with a completion screen.

Navigating the tour

  • Next / Previous: step forward or back. The tour automatically navigates between pages when needed.

  • Skip Tour: exits immediately. Your spot is remembered, so you can resume later.

  • Close (×): same as skip.

  • Action steps: some steps wait for you to actually click the highlighted button before advancing. If you’re stuck, look for a pulsing highlight.

Your tour state (current step, completed, skipped) is saved to this browser. Sign in on a different device and you can start the tour fresh there.

Restarting the tour

If you skipped or completed the tour and want to take it again:

  • Go to the Dashboard.

  • Look for the Take the Tour action again. After completion, it’s typically labelled Restart Tour.

If it’s not visible, open your browser’s developer tools and remove tour-state, tour-completed, and tour-skipped from local storage. Then refresh the Dashboard.

Tips and gotchas

  • Don’t resize the window mid-tour. Tour highlights are positioned against UI elements; very narrow windows can hide the target (for example, the sidebar collapses on mobile).

  • Use a real email you control for the test client. The signing step actually sends an email.

  • Sales-only or Custodian-only users may not see all steps. The tour is calibrated for Admins; Custodians especially can’t complete the send for signature step.

  • Pop-up blockers can interrupt redirects between pages. Allow pop-ups for Loyva to keep the tour smooth.

Frequently asked questions

Will the tour create real data in my account?
Yes, the client, folder, and envelope you create during the tour are real. Archive or delete them afterward if you don’t want them in your workspace.

The tour highlighted an element that doesn’t exist on my screen.
Make sure you’re signed in as an Admin and using a desktop-sized window. Some elements (like the New Client button) are gated by role, and some are hidden on very small screens.

Can I share the tour with a new hire?
Yes, ask them to sign in, go to the Dashboard, and click Take the Tour. The tour runs in their session against their assigned org and role.

Does the tour cover proposals, billing, or reports?
Not directly. The tour focuses on the client-to-vault flow. For the other modules, see the dedicated support articles or the onboarding checklist.
