Managing Subscriptions from a Signed Contract
When a contract with recurring revenue is signed and vaulted, Loyva can stand up a Stripe subscription that mirrors that contract's RMR. From then on, the subscription and the contract stay linked so you can manage one from the other.
Starting a subscription
Open the signed contract from the vault or the client's Documents tab.
Click Start subscription in the Billing section.
Loyva pulls the recurring line items from the contract and shows you a preview (items, interval, first charge).
Confirm. Loyva creates the customer and subscription in Stripe and sends the first invoice.
What you can do later
Pause a subscription: billing stops, the subscription stays.
Resume a paused subscription: billing picks back up on the next cycle.
Update line items or quantities: pro-rated or applied next cycle, your choice.
Change the price: for example after an annual rate increase.
Cancel: at period end or immediately.
All of these are available from the contract's Billing panel and from the Subscriptions table on the client workspace.
Keeping the contract and subscription in sync
The link is one-way: the contract is the source of truth (it's the Authoritative Copy in the vault). Subscription changes that materially alter the agreement should be backed by a new addendum or amended contract you sign and vault, otherwise the subscription will drift from what the customer signed.
Note: Cancelling a subscription doesn't void the contract. Vaulted contracts stay as immutable records even after the billing relationship ends.
