The Customer Billing Portal
The billing portal is a Stripe-hosted page where your customers manage their own payment methods and subscriptions, branded with your business name. It cuts down on the "can you update my card?" emails.
What customers can do
Update card or bank account on file.
View and download past invoices and receipts.
See current subscriptions and renewal dates.
Cancel a subscription (if you've enabled that in the portal config).
Update billing address and email.
Sending a customer to the portal
Open the client workspace.
Click Billing portal link in the Billing section.
Loyva generates a one-time portal session URL.
Copy it or send it directly to the customer by email.
The link is short-lived for security. The customer doesn't need a Loyva account, they just click the link.
What it looks like
Stripe renders the portal with your business name, logo, and brand colors (pulled from your Stripe account settings). Customers see your brand, not Loyva or Stripe.
Portal configuration
The portal's exact capabilities (what customers are allowed to change) are configured once in your Stripe dashboard under Settings β Billing β Customer portal. Pick the features you want to expose; Loyva uses whatever you configure there.
Note: The portal does not let customers see other customers' data or anything else in your Stripe account. Each session is scoped to one customer.
