Recalling or Voiding an Envelope
If a signature request needs to be stopped - wrong document, wrong signer, pricing change -you can recall or void the envelope. Both stop the signing process; the difference is intent and timing.
When to recall
Use Recall when no one has signed yet and you plan to send a corrected version. The original envelope is invalidated and the signers' links stop working.
When to void
Use Void when you don't intend to re-send. The envelope is marked Void and kept for the audit trail. Use this if the deal fell through, was duplicated, or was sent in error.
How to do it
Open the envelope from the Signatures tab.
Click Recall or Void in the envelope actions.
Provide a reason (recorded in the audit log).
Confirm. Loyva immediately invalidates the signing links.
What signers see
Existing links return a message that the envelope is no longer active.
No new emails are sent unless you start a new envelope.
Anything already signed remains in the audit trail but the envelope as a whole doesn't complete.
After recall
You can edit the source document or template and send a brand new envelope. Loyva keeps the old envelope visible so you have a full history of what changed and why.
Note: You can't recall or void an envelope that has already completed. Once everyone has signed, the document is final and stored in the vault.
