Editing a Document with the PDF Editor
Loyva's built-in PDF editor lets you adjust a document before sending it for signature: add text, redact sensitive information, and apply standard document stamps without leaving the platform.
Open the editor
Open the document from the Documents area, a client workspace, or a template.
Click Edit PDF.
The editor opens in a modal with the document on the canvas and the toolbar on top.
Add text
Pick the Text tool and click where you want to type.
Adjust font size and color from the toolbar.
Drag the text box to reposition; resize from the corner.
Redact
Pick the Redact tool.
Draw a rectangle over the content you want to hide. It's permanently blacked out when you save.
Use redaction for PII, account numbers, or anything that shouldn't be visible to signers or CCs.
Stamps
Apply standard document stamps in one click: Approved, Confidential, Draft, Void, and more. Place the stamp anywhere on the page; resize and rotate as needed.
Save your changes
Click Save to write a new version of the PDF.
Earlier versions are kept for audit purposes.
Close the editor and continue with Send for Signature, applying a template, or sending to the vault.
Note: Redactions are destructive. Once saved and sent, the hidden content cannot be recovered from the released PDF. Keep an unredacted master copy if you need one for internal use.
