Connecting Gmail

Connect a Gmail account so Loyva can read your inbox, thread customer conversations against the right client, and send emails from your address.

Connect your account

  1. Open Settings β†’ My Preferences β†’ Integrations (Sales users) or Settings β†’ Integrations (Admins).

  2. Click Connect Gmail.

  3. Sign in to Google and approve the requested scopes (read, send, modify).

  4. You'll be redirected back to Loyva and the card will switch to Connected.

Note: Loyva's Google OAuth requires specific redirect URIs. If you self-host or fork the project, see the Google OAuth configuration article.

How sync works

  1. Loyva pulls new messages on a rolling schedule and on demand when you open the inbox.

  2. Threads are matched to clients by email address.

  3. A database trigger updates updated_at to prevent infinite sync loops.

Sending email

Once connected, Compose and Reply send through your Gmail account. Recipients see your address in the From field, not a Loyva relay, so replies come straight back to your inbox.

Disconnect

Click Disconnect on the Gmail card. Loyva stops syncing immediately and deletes the stored tokens. Existing messages already pulled into the inbox stay searchable.
