Vault Audit Log

Every action against a vaulted document is recorded in the Audit Log. The log is your evidence trail for compliance, disputes, and assignment reviews.

What's logged

  • Signature events: who signed, when, IP address, consent acceptance.

  • Vault in / Vault out: when an envelope entered or left the vault, by whom.

  • Views of the Authoritative Copy: every open, by user and timestamp.

  • Downloads and prints of the Copy: recorded for traceability.

  • PIN failures and lockouts: for security review.

Where to find it

Open any vaulted envelope and switch to the Audit Log tab. Entries are listed newest-first. You can download the log as a PDF for off-system records.

How it stays trustworthy

Log entries are written server-side by edge functions, not from the browser. Users, including admins, cannot edit or delete entries. The log is immutable from the application layer.

Note: Unlike the Authoritative Copy, the Audit Log can be downloaded and printed. It's designed to be shared as evidence.
