Creating Your Organization

An organization (“org”) in Loyva is your company’s workspace. It owns your clients, documents, vault, and billing. Every user belongs to at least one org, and all data is fully isolated between them. This article covers how an org gets created, how to invite teammates, and what each invited user can expect.

How your organization is created

Most orgs are created in one of two ways:

  • You signed up directly: the first user to register for a company becomes the Organization Admin, and an org is created automatically with your company name.

  • You were invited: an existing admin sent you an invitation email. Accepting it links your account to their org with the role they chose.

If you need an additional org (for example, a parent company plus a subsidiary), contact Loyva support.

Setting up your org for the first time

If you just created the org, the first things to configure are in Settings > Organization Settings:

  1. Open the sidebar and click Settings, then the Organization Settings tab.

  2. Confirm or edit the Organization Name; it appears in the sidebar, signed documents, and outgoing emails.

  3. Upload your logo (PNG or JPG, square works best). It appears on hosted proposal pages and branded emails.

  4. Set the timezone. All timestamps in audit logs and reports use this value.

  5. Click Save.

See the Organization Branding article for a deeper walkthrough of logo and identity settings.

Frequently asked questions

Can one person be in multiple organizations?
Yes. They’ll see an organization switcher in the sidebar after accepting the second invitation. Roles are per-org. Someone can be a Sales user in one org and an Admin in another.

How many Admins should we have?
At least two. Admins are the only ones who can manage billing, integrations, and other admins, so having a backup avoids being locked out if one person is unavailable.
