How variables work

Anywhere you type a variable like {{Client Name}}, Loyva replaces it with the real value when the proposal is previewed, sent, or signed. Variables are case-sensitive and must use the exact format shown.

Supported variables

• {{Client Name}}: the client's full name or company name

• {{Client Email}}: primary email on file

• {{Client Address}}: full mailing address

• {{Proposal Title}}: the title set on the Details tab

• {{Proposal Total}}: calculated total from the Pricing tab

• {{Today}}: the date the proposal is sent

Additional variables may be available depending on your organization's configuration. Check the variable picker in the editor.

Where you can use them

• Proposal Terms body

• Cover-page text on the Details tab

• Line item descriptions

• Email templates when sending proposals

Best practices

• Always check the Preview tab. It shows resolved values, so any typo in a variable becomes obvious.

• Use variables in Terms Templates so the same template works for every client.

• Keep the spaces and capitalization exact. {{clientname}} will not be replaced.

Note: If a variable shows up unchanged on the Preview (e.g. literal "{{Client Name}}"), the name is misspelled or the underlying client field is empty.
