Sending a Document for Signature
Loyva sends documents for legally binding eSignature through an embedded signing experience. The recipient sees an eSign consent step first, then signs in their browser, no account required.
Start a signature request
Open the client (or the Documents area) and click Send for Signature.
Upload the file or pick an existing document. PDF, PNG, and JPG are supported. Word documents must be exported to PDF first.
Loyva skips the basic-info step and takes you straight to the field builder.
Add the signers
Add each signer's name, email, and role (e.g. Customer, Co-signer). Use Are you signing? if you also need to sign. Leave it OFF unless you do, so the flow doesn't get stuck waiting on you.
Place fields on the document
Drag fields onto the document and assign each one to a signer:
Signature, initials, date signed
Text, checkbox, dropdown, radio buttons
Attachment, payment, and other advanced fields
Or use AI Auto-detect to let Loyva find and place signature fields for you (see the separate article).
Optional: CC recipients
Add anyone who should receive the signed PDF when the envelope completes (project manager, billing, attorney). They don't sign, they just get the finished document by email.
Send
Click Send. Each signer receives a branded email from your organization with a secure link. You can track every step from the Signatures tab.
Note: Once sent, you can still send reminders, recall the envelope, or void it. But, you can't edit the document or fields. Recall first if you need to change anything.
